Manzanar, a photographic essay compiled by Chris S. Uyemura. This essay was submitted to Donald T. Hata, Associate Professor of History, CSUDH, History 253, "Asians in America" Section 21. "A pictorial account of the important events pertaining to the confinement of 11,000 persons of Japanese ancestry in the Manzanar War Relocation Center during World War 2 (1942-1945)." The essay consists of originally 45 sheets but the collection includes only 34 sheets. Captions, texts, photographs, and newspaper clippings are mounted on cardboard paper sheets (14 x 11 in.).
